I've had it serviced four days before my start date so it now looks a lot cleaner than in the photo below! I've had the gear cassette and chain replaced as well as new brakes and a general tightening and service of all the moving parts. I have also added new puncture proof tyres (apparently they can ride over a thumb tack without bursting). So hopefully with all the changes and maintenance the number of things that can go mechanically wrong will be kept to a minimum.
My ride for the next two weeks |
I'm intending to travel as light as possible but not so light that I won't have some home comforts with me. I'm hoping to be able to regularly wash my clothes along the way otherwise I might be a bit ripe at the end.

What maps did you use? Electronic or paper?
ReplyDeleteHi Steve, I used paper maps. If you check at the bottom of the My Route page you will see how I created them. Good luck with your trip (I assume you're going to be doing LEJOG or JOGLE).
